(Iselux) Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate & Sodium Methyl Isethionate & Lauric Acid & Sodium Laurate, is an extremely mild cleanser that can be used as a primary or secondary surfactant and is ideally used where a dense, luxurious foam and elegant after-feel is desired. It provides gentle yet thorough cleansing with outstanding rinse-ability. The excellent water solubility properties allow the formulator to product crystal clear liquid cleansing systems. The secondary ester structure of Iselux makes it more hydrolytically stable than many common esters and this coupled with its broad pH stability range makes formulating easy.

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) is a very mild surfactant and is designed to work effectively in hard water. It is derived from coconut fatty acids and is fully biodegradable. SCI is gentle enough to use in products for babies and personal cleansers for sensitive areas such as eye-makeup removers. SCI also leaves a silky skin feel whilst simultaneously exhibiting excellent lathering properties.
Betaine, Plant based-extracted from sugar beets. Primarily functions as a humectant and anti-irritant in cosmetic products. The small polar molecules of this ingredient are prone to hydrogen bonding (AKA interacting with water), which in turn gives it the ability to retain moisture.
Phenoxyethanol & Ethylhexylglycerin, (Synthetic) Effective broad spectrum anti-microbiological preservative system considered to be non-toxic and safe, used in a wide range of personal care applications. Effective for gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria and confers excellent fungicidal activity of moulds and yeasts. Good system when products have a pH less than 7. Approved for use in Europe, USA and Japan.

The is because it is a humectant and reduces the trans-epidermal loss of water through the increased production of oils and fats within the skin. This helps hydrate the cell structure of the skin and keep it supple. This product is an acidifier with moisturising exfoliation, and antibacterial properties.
