Use our charcoal infused sponge to clarify and rebalance your skin. Konjac sponges were created as a way for Japanese farmers to cleanse a baby’s skin, so they’re a much gentler way to exfoliate during your daily wash.

East - Calming, refreshing, sweet. With notes of mandarin, sweet orange, cedar, lime, amyris, litsea cubeba, kanuka, cinnamon and vanilla.

West - Invigorating, fresh, green, lightly spiced. With notes of cedar, lemongrass, artemisia, patchouli, clove, eucalyptus, coffee, manuka and basil.

Both East and West Coast Fragrances are Certified Natural - Liquid oil mixture of natural essential oils, isolates and natural materials (EU Standard).

Our Ocean Foam Hand and Body Wash contains the same minerals and elements found in seawater, including red seaweed extract.

Dead Sea salt, which is rich in magnesium, potassium, calcium chlorides, chromium, selenium, zinc, and vanadium. These minerals are easily absorbed by the skin and help to heal and protect the skin barrier. Magnesium hydrates your skin by directly strengthening the skin’s lipid barrier.

New Zealand red seaweed extracts have antioxidant, metal chelator (anti-pollutant), antiviral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. These properties help skin maintain its suppleness, firmness, and hydration.

Plus Hyaluronic acid. Which penetrates the skin with unique moisturising and viscoelastic (both viscous and elastic) properties, to make the skin soft and restore its elasticity contributing a significant anti-wrinkle effect.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is naturally present in human tissues such as skin, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. It acts as a connective tissue ‘organiser’ and helps to hold water. HA is found in both layers of the skin where it has a protective, structure stabilising and shock-absorbing function. About a third of the total amount of HA in the entire human body is found in the skin. As we age, the content of HA in the skin decreases, which may contribute to loss of freshness, hydration, moisture and elasticity in the skin and the development of wrinkles. This may be resolved by adding commercially produced HA to cosmetic products. Our Hyaluronic acid is produced from by-products of the bacterial fermentation of Corn, Wheat, and Yeast Extract. It is not of animal origin and may therefore be used in vegetarian or vegan preparations.

To fill with Ocean Foam Hand & Body Wash, please follow the instructions on the back of your concentrate bottle. All you need to do is add the concentrate to the top of the "ascent" logo, then add the water and shake for 15 seconds.

1. Shake concentrate bottle for 5 seconds
2. Pour concentrate to the top of the Ascent logo on pump bottle
3. Add water, filling to above the tide line
4. Shake pump bottle for 15 seconds

Sponge:

When you first use a konjac sponge, it will have quite a firm, tight texture that you really don't want to apply to your skin. Your first step is to wet the sponge for a minute or so, until it has expanded and is lovely and soft. Gently squeeze out the excess water, and then it's ready for use. They's also very effective when used with water alone.

Once you're done cleansing, give the sponge a final rinse and then squeeze out the excess water. Hang it up to dry properly - don't leave it on the sink!

Konjac sponges are natural material, so they will start to biodegrade over time. If you take care of your sponge, it should last you around six to eight weeks, but I recommend replacing after six to make sure your skin stays clean and healthy.

Reuse and Refill
All our bottles are made of glass, which is key to our circular reuse and refill model. After proper cleansing, a glass bottle can be reused for the same product over and over again.

Our pump bottles are glass with a quality stainless steel pump to drastically reduce the amount of plastic used. Buy once. Refill forever.

Our glass pump bottles are frosted by sandblasting the bottle. Most frosted bottles use chemicals, which can’t be recycled.

We must depart from the existing linear model of ‘take, make, waste’ and embrace a truly circular model. The beauty and personal care industry has become focused on recycling. But we simply cannot recycle our way out of the plastic pollution crisis. We need corporate accountability and transparency, especially in the form of redesigned packaging for reusable systems.

Made from natural Konjac root (a porous vegetable that grows in Asia), our sponges are natural, organic, biodegradable and vegan so when you have finished using them, you can easily put them in your compost.
