Use our charcoal infused sponge to clarify and rebalance your skin. Konjac sponges were created as a way for Japanese farmers to cleanse a baby’s skin, so they’re a much gentler way to exfoliate during your daily wash.
Ingredients
The konjac sponge comes from the Asian konjac plant. The plant is naturally quite alkaline which gives it a gentle soap like cleansing ability. Since they are made from natural fibre, there is nothing synthetic about them. The konjac sponge is almost like a loofah, only softer.
How to Use
When you first use a konjac sponge, it will have quite a firm, tight texture that you really don't want to apply to your skin. Your first step is to wet the sponge for a minute or so, until it has expanded and is lovely and soft. Gently squeeze out the excess water, and then it's ready for use. They's also very effective when used with water alone.
Once you're done cleansing, give the sponge a final rinse and then squeeze out the excess water. Hang it up to dry properly - don't leave it on the sink!
Konjac sponges are natural material, so they will start to biodegrade over time. If you take care of your sponge, it should last you around six to eight weeks, but I recommend replacing after six to make sure your skin stays clean and healthy.

Made from natural konjac root (a porous vegetable that grows in Asia), our sponges are natural, organic, biodegradable and vegan so when you have finished using them, you can easily put them in your compost.
